Metals & Components:
We only use the finest of materials, including precious metals and tarnish proof stainless steel wire for our hair jewelry, headpieces and tiaras. We recommend using lever backs or cubic zirconia studs for all of our bridal earrings, they cost a little more than the French wires, but they are much more secure for brides to wear on their wedding day. We only use sterling silver or 24 ct gold fill for our jewelry and earring findings however white gold components can be sourced upon request.

Crystals, Pearls & Beads:
All of our crystals and rhinestones are Swarovski Crystallized Elements and some vintage Czech Republic and German crystals because of their unique qualities and rare facets/cut. Pearls are both freshwater, ocean and Swarovski crystal pearls. We incorporate vintage materials such as French Lucite, glass and rhinestones (that are hard to find and are no longer in production) into some of our designs. These pieces are often offered on a limited edition basis.

Hardware:
All of our combs, frames and pins are metal – we never use plastic. Our rhinestone hair ornaments and brooches are prong set, meaning that they are not glued, and therefore offer a much more professional finish.

Finishing Touches:
We finish the back of our headpieces with a invisible rubber bond that allows for a comfortable wear as well a perfectly polished finish.

Fabrics and Laces:
Tulles are French and English and woven extra fine. Our French net, also popularly known as Russian Tulle, is authentic French tulle and not its stiffer cheaper counterpart. Our silk charmeuse, taffeta, duchesse satin, organza and all other fabrics are purchased at source and are of the highest standard. We use authentic French Alencon and Chantilly laces which we import directly from France. We also use Italian laces and both our French and Italian laces are made using the traditional loom method and hand finished. Vintage laces are also used for some of our products.

Going Green:
At Justine M Couture we make every effort to minimize our carbon footprint. We recycle our paper, reuse our shipping boxes and purchase our materials from companies who maintain good ethical practices and do not exploit or deplete the planet's natural resources. We do not offer paper catalogs but we do have printable versions on our website (for buyers only). For brides, please view pictures of our line on our collections page. Sorry, but in an effort to save the planet, we do not print catalogs for brides. However, if you would like to see a particular piece in a different color, please email or call us and we will send you picture via email.
